Salt Marsh, Hampton, New Hampshire; Such salt marshes provided fodder for livestock in colonial times, and Hampton (originally Winnacunnet) was begun by settlers from Massachusetts in 1636. This view is of the marsh in fall just at sunset.
North Bridge, Concord, Massachusetts; North side looking east. Here is where the Battle of Concord began April 19, 1775. This view would have shown the British Regulars on the far side of the bridge facing the Colonial Militia. Here was fired "the shot heard round the world".
